그래서 조선시대에는 새해가 되면 호랑이 그림을 대문에 붙이는 풍습이 있었다.
그리고 한국인들은 까치가 울면 반가운 손님이 온다고 믿고있다.
호랑이와 까치가 다정하게 대화하는 모습은 개인의 행복과 평화로운 시대를 기원하는 의미를 담고있다.
호작도를 해학적으로 재디자인하여 현대적인 미감을 표현하였다.
While tigers symbolize warding off evil spirits and bad luck, magpies are believed to bring good news.
Thus, in the Joseon Dynasty, hanging a tiger painting on the gate on New Year’s Day was a custom.
Koreans also believe that when magpies are chirping, pleasant guests will visit them.
The image of the tiger and the magpie cordially conversing represents the wish for individual happiness and a peaceful era.
BON'ee redesigned the traditional painting wittily to express a modern sense of aesthetics.
